Jeff fluffed up his mane of golden blonde hair. It was humid so it was curling up something fierce, much to his chagrin. He hated when it would curl, forever taunted by the Goldilocks name Shawn bestowed on him the one day purely on accident. He stepped back and examined his hair, watching it slowly curl back up. "AUGH!" He rifled through his bag, pulling out a flat iron. He plugged it into the socket, waiting for it to heat up.

He was certain he was the ONLY one in the locker room with his own flat iron he brought with him to matches. "God dang humidity..." He muttered as he attempted to flatten his hair back out. "Shut up Knobbs!" He shouted at the other man as he made obscene gestures at Jeff, mimicking the way the blonde was styling his hair.

"No one has any appreciation for groomin'." He scowled finishing up with the flat iron and polishing it off with a heavy coating of hair spray. The locker room was heading off to the bar now that the show was over, and Jeff was of course, late as usual. He needed to make sure his appearance was spot on- especially with Shawn there. If he wanted any attention tonight it was going to be given to him solely if he could wrench it away from Shawn. The other blonde always got all the attention.

Well, not tonight. Jeff fixed the waist band of his white leather pants, adjusting the clinging silver tank he had on. He wore a pair of matching turquoise suede cowboy boots that he was particularly proud of and a white cowboy hat, the band decorated heavily in rhinestones and turquoise stones.

He looked good. He picked at his pants, smoothing out a wrinkle before heading out to the bar. Once there, he spotted the guys. How could he not? They all tended to stick out like a sore thumb. He walked toward the bar, perching himself on the stool. He squared off his shoulders, smirking. He was going to get what he wanted tonight, and he was already getting quite a few looks.

Shots four and five were already lined up on the bar by the time he made it back from the mens room. A half finished beer looked sorry for itself at the side of the small glasses of burnt caramel coloured liqor and Kev couldn't comprehend just how he did it every night and lived to tell the tale. Before he could get as far as his stool he could make out the sound of Shawn shooting his mouth of as per usual, asking at far too high a volume where he could pick up a fix of a number of his vices.

He saw some familiar faces from the roster hanging around the bar too but chose to avoid eye contact them and went back to his seat. Resting his aching bones on the padded stool Kev grabbed the beer and sunk half of what was left, shaking his head as he put the bottle back on the counter top. The beer was the worst he'd tasted in a while and it was starting to look like the makings of a long night. Considering quitting the gang for an early night was something that entered his mind around about the same time every evening. There wasn't enough beer in his blood for the edge to be taken off his dislike of the way his best friend conducted himself nor enough hours past for him to slip away unnoticed.

"Hey, sexy boy. How's about tonin' down your mouth a little before we get put over the town boundary again?"

Kev watched as Shawn turned on his Cuban Cowboy heel and clacked towards him across the scrubbed wood floor.

"You worry too much. Do I ever tell you that?"

The words came accompanied with a sweet smile that would tempt a celibate saint but Kev has posted bail once too often to fall for the usual spiel.

"I worry just enough. As much as you make me. So shut your mouth a little and go ask the bartender if you wanna get fixed up. Just... be discreet?"

With a wink Shawn was gone and Kev turned his attention back to the bar. If he hadn't read his contract so closely he would be convinced that his role as bodyguard was in more than just kayfabe. Lifting one of the shots to his lips he slammed it down, relishing the burn as it coated then stripped his throat. He blew the harsh after fumes out and wondered just how much of the same it would take to put him into oblivion.

Jeff watched Shawn, his voice cutting through him even though he wasn't speaking to him. He hid his scowl behind a glass, watching out of the corner of his eye. Sure enough, everyone's eyes were fixed on Shawn- for better or worse. He licked his lips out if frustration and finished his drink, spying the one man who should be eying the blonde- Kevin Nash.

Jeff always liked the tall ones- and they didn't come any taller than Kevin Nash. He caught his reflection in the mirror at the back of the bar and fluffed his hair up. Shawn didn't seem too keen on hanging around the bigger man today, so... he might as well go and stake a claim.

He scooted off his stool, walking over to the much taller man. "Hey big Kev." He cooed, smirking up at him. "How are ya'll doin'? Ya look a lil' lonely sittin' here poundin' those back. Mind if I join ya?" Jeff asked sitting beside him on the empty stool. He tossed his blonde mane of hair over his shoulder.

Kev looked at the bundle of blonde that had parked up beside him and didn't quite know how to reply. He had no beef with Jarrett, quite the opposite. He liked the guy well enough, in fact a deal more than most of the morons that had somehow wangled their way onto the roster. He knew Jeff was bright about the business and that alone garnered his interested. Besides after checking out the elaborate outfit his colleague was clad in if the way to get ahead really was a hat then maybe Jeff knew more about the best way to get a push than most.

"I'm doin' great. Just great. I'm a near 7 foot tall babysitter who happens to chaperone the biggest mouth in the business that hasn't got a megaphone screwed tight to it."

Pausing to slam down another shot Kev couldn't help but to admire the balls on Jeff to approach him in front of all the guys that were there, especially Shawn. He had long sensed that there was no love lost between the two men but couldn't fathom what their issue was, other than the fact that one of them was Shawn Michaels which was often reason enough.

"So what's your poison Jeff? I'm not usually the sociable kind when I'm looking after the kids," Kev nodded over to Shawn sharply. "But as you can tell I'm a real dumb sucker for a pretty blonde."

"Whiskey on the rocks." Jeff sat back on stool, grinning at Kevin. "What are ya'll drinkin' Big Kev? Whatever it is, it's on me." He said looking to the bartender. He motioned for the woman, asking her to put Kevin's next drink on his tab.

"Lookin' after the youngins, huh? Maybe I should buy ya two drinks then." He winked playfully at him, sitting to the side of the stool so he could look at Kevin. "Big Kev, ya'll are always lookin' after them. Don't ya think they're old enough to do that on their own by now...?" Jeff asked glancing at Waltman making a fool out of himself like usual.

"Alright, so maybe not Waltman." Jeff drawled and played with the drink stir in his empty glass. "But why should ya'll always be the sitter? Do they pay ya well?" He teased. "An'... what if big Kev wants to have fun with some one he don't have to baby sit?" He smirked. "Will they let ya'll go off an' have a good time or will Rome burn while you're away?"

"Waltman?"

With a wry smile Kev looked over to see the skinniest of all his close friends with his arm rested on the broken down jukebox in the corner, beer spilling as it tilted in his hand. For as much as he saw the bad side of their wild living he knew that Sean had nothing without it or them. He was the latest in a long line of talented guys that had gotten suckered into the endless loop of work, drink and drugs.

"He's a cool guy. Real easy going if a little flaky at times. You're right though Jeff, they're like my kids. I gotta keep them under control. "

Looking around at Jeff he smiled and tapped his empty shot glass on the beer mat on the bar.

"And if I didn't know any better there Jeffrey I'd be thinking you're giving big ol' Diesel the sugar lipped come along. I mean, you're the guy who struts around shaking that sweet little ass, showing it to all and handing it to nearly none."

Leaning forward to pick up the drink he'd had bought for him Kev reached over and clinked it off the rim of the glass Jeff held in his hand. He let the drink swirl around his mouth before swallowing, ditching the glass and the letting his free arm curl around Jeff's waist. Whether the younger man was calling his bluff or genuinely game for a good time it didn't matter. Kev could step up or stand down and save face whenever he needed to, hanging with with Sean and Shawn had soon taught him how to do that.

"You want some fun then you got some fun my friend. Just say the word."

"The 1-2-3 Kid ain't too bad. He's pretty nice." Jeff said in an indifferent tone. He really didn't have much of a disparaging comment toward anyone backstage- including Shawn. He wasn't a big fan of the heartbreak kid out of jealousy for the amount of attention he got from his long list of potential suitors, but he respected him as a wrestler, and a man who could work a crowd over faster than a snap of your fingers.

"Sugar lipped come on! ...Why I never, Kevin Nash." He pretended to look offended. "Of COURSE I gave you the sugar lipped come on. An' ya'll should be honored, because Jeff Jarrett is always pleased to flaunt what he's got, but he doesn't get got very often." And it was true- Jeff rarely flirted with anyone outside of the ring. Shawn was a lot to compete with, enough to make him reconsider trying, certainly enough to make him spend extra time trying to flatten out his long hair not too long ago. However, Kevin was different. He was in the inner circle, and potentially tired of all the madness. It was worth a shot.

He took a drink out of his glass, setting down the half empty drink on the bar. He trailed a finger down Kevin's arm. "I'd like some fun, Kev. Ya'll mind cuttin' outta here- or do ya think the kids might cause too much trouble with ya'll doin' some adult activity...?"

Colorful Equation (For Slashburd) Empty Re: Colorful Equation (For Slashburd)

Kev felt the tension between them and knew in that moment that it didn't matter if Shawn went on a rampage and got himself locked up. That night he wouldn't be around to sweet talk the bar owner or pay enough bribes to keep them all out of the cells. When he said that the gang were like his kids he wasn't lying but it was time to turn bad parent and get some attention of his own.

"You just lead the way Jeff and I'll be right behind you. Now you sure you want to start this cos I'm a lot of man to handle so I'm told." Letting his hand drift down he grabbed Jeff's asscheek and squeezed firmly before pulling that same hand back and landing a firm slap on it. Already the colourful thoughts of what he wanted to do Jeff were flashing up in his mind, he just hoped that his new companion wasn't leading him on or pulling his chain. "Now I'm good to go if you're ready to drink up and scoot outta here. Shawn's in the john and Sean's already halfway to passin' out so...."

Letting the invitation hang in the air wasn't a play or a move, more a question that he needed Jeff to answer. If they got as far as sliding between the sheets then he'd be the one to take charge but until he was sure that it wasn't a rib he was happy enough to let the blonde beside him both buy and call the shots.

Jeff looked up at him, giving him a slightly cross look. Even if it was just a joke, Jeff's physical size was no joke to him- and mostly because of the way he was made to feel second class since coming up from USWA. He knew he was smaller than the rest of the guys and he always felt punished for it. "Jus' because I look small don't mean that I can't throw down with the best of im'. Don't ya'll go McMahon on me, Kev or I might jus' walk my five star self right on outta this here bar." He said and slowly changed gears back to what they were originally talking about. "Sorry- soft spot for me." He apologized and then squeaked when he grabbed his ass.

He threw some money on the bar to cover the drinks and a nice tip. "Nice hands, Kev." Jeff winked and grabbed his arm, pulling him toward the door. "Come on, ya'll are talkin' 'big' an' I wanna know first hand. ...My room or yours?" He smirked playfully. It had been far too long since he had been with anyone, and he liked the look of Kevin. Tall, strong, handsome- and a guy who cared about his friends. That was worth getting to know for him, as guys like that didn't come by every day.

Kev let himself be dragged towards the door, knowing better than to fake resistance for cheap laughs. There was something about the exuberant nature of Jeff that was as flattering as it was appealing. It had been some time since he had been hit on so blatantly and furthermore that it had come to anything. Taking one final glance around he discharged himself of all responsibilities for the night other than to himself and the man opening the door out into the cool night air.

"Yours. My suite is likely to be full of the wrong kind of asshole right about the time we're getting friendly. And Jeff, you got a beef about your size but I don't know what for. You look fine to me. Not everyone can be seven high and twelve long like yours truly. Don't let the guys get you down. Us big felllas got no knees and no job left by the time we're kicking 40. You got the chance to run the ring 'til you're a good 65 if you wanna. Don't forget that."

It soon became clear that finding Jeff if he lost him outside would be easy. The streetlights above lit up every buckle, rhinestone and glittery sparkle. To Kev it was like taking home the star act of the show, the glitzy singer who came on at the end of the cabaret and worked the stage like they'd been born on it. He slung his arm around Jeff's shoulders and felt the gentle bump of the swaying hips against his own, wondering if they worked as well horizontally as they did vertically.

"So, we catching a cab, taking a stroll or do you have a rental somewhere? I'm a little buzzed to be behind the wheel but I can still do a mean piggyback if those fancy boots you got on start to pinch a little."

"...I hope that's the case Kevin, because I jus'... I can't see myself not bein' in this business. It's all I ever wanted, an' all I ever wanted to know." He was just waiting for the business to feel the same way about him, for one of the top two companies to recognize his natural ability to get heat almost instantly. He snapped out of his train of thought, catching Kevin's suggestions.

"Ohhh I ain't far from the bar. I always pick the place with the kitchenettes in im' because I don't want to jus' eat the rotten food from caterin'." He made a face. "However I will make sure ya'll give me that piggy back ride sometime soon." He linked his arm with Kevin's, trying to keep pace with his stride, but Kevin had a good foot and a half at least on him.

After a brief few minutes of walking, Jeff pulled Kevin down a street leading him up to a small motor lodge. He escorted him to the door, fidgeting the room key in his back pocket. "There." He smiled up at the other man and opened the door to the motel. He swaggered in, tossing the key on the side table. Jeff's motel room was more of a small apartment with it's little kitchen and seating area. "Why don't ya'll take a seat, I'm gonna go freshen up."

Colorful Equation (For Slashburd) Empty Re: Colorful Equation (For Slashburd)

Post  slashburd Sat Jul 23, 2011 7:13 am

Wandering across to the cosy looking lounge space Kev realised that he should probably have taken his boots off at the door. He sat for a moment and unzipped them, kicking them free of his feet before realising that it might make him look a little too comfortable. Given the tone of their conversation from earlier he was sure that both of them were up for whatever might happen but the last thing he wanted was to look like he expected anything from Jeff.

With a small smile he crossed the room again, dumping his boots by the door before returning to the surprisingly comfortable couch. Allowing himself a moment to take in the peace and quiet was a rare luxury. His ears rang in the silence, still echoing the sound of the bad rock that seemed to fill every bar they spent their evenings getting drunk in. Kev didn't miss the noise and bustle at all and he knew that his tired body and neglected libido would thank him in the morning for running out on the madness.

Around ten minutes later he heard sound of running water come to a stop and wondered just how fresh Jeff might have been getting in there. With a sneaky sniff at his underarms he was able to relax a little more, knowing that that his earlier shower would see him through to morning when for once there might be someone around to wash his back. Smoothing down a few wild and wispy strands of hair was the limit of his preparations, along with damning himself for not bringing any kind of protection with him. Considering how neither of them 'entertained' very often he could only hope that Jeff had come more prepared than he had.

The sound of the door handle clunking down made him sit up straight on the couch and at the last moment he leaned forward, forearms rested on his thighs. In a matter of seconds he would either get the green light or the blow off. He he tried to keep the lust that the thought of a wet Jeff caused in him out of his expression to make him look less like a panther about to pounce on it's prey. From his stomach to his knees there was a deep ache that he hoped would not be relieved by another lonely, late night tepid shower and then followed by a bout of bitter regret.

Really, he had only gone to go use the bathroom to brush his teeth, wanting to kill the smell of whiskey on his breath. However, when he grabbed the tube of tooth paste it exploded all over him and his hair. Mortified, a shower was the only option. Jeff finished off his shower. happy all the paste was gone. He dried himself off thoroughly, fixing his thick blonde hair back into a wet pony tail. He shimmied into the pair of jeans he had on earlier, his stomach full of butterflies as he made his way back into the foyer.

"Sorry that took a spell. But... I wanted to be clean." He grinned. "Figured you all would like somethin' nice an' clean to cuddle up with, hmm?" He ran his finger down Kevin's big arm sashaying by him. "Would ya'll like somethin' to drink Kev? I got a few things down at the store earlier that I got stashed in the fridge."

Jeff was a man of good manners, in the least. Especially when it came to entertaining. He had invited Kevin over for a good time, but there was no way Jeff would ever be a one night stand with little to no class.

"Sure, I'll take a beer, a whiskey; hell, I'll even take an iced tea if that's what you got."

With a big smile Kev watched as Jeff whizzed around the apartment between the fridge, his bag and the cupboards of the small kitchenette. There was so much energy about his movements, nothing was ever done in a halfhearted way with Jeff.

As discreetly as he could Kev wiped the damp palms of his hands on the denim that clad his thick thighs. If he had still been alone it would be the right time to give himself a good talking to. He often liked to think that he didn't suffer from nerves be it in the bedroom or in the ring but nothing could be further from the truth. When it came to running his mouth he was as confident as Bobby Heenan on a good day but when it came to putting his moves on it wasn't always that simple.

When Jeff came back over towards the lounge area he decided that the 'no guts no glory' way would be the best tactic to see off his romantic ring rust. A tall glass was held out to him but instead of taking it he grasped Jeff gently by the wrist and pulled the slender man down carefully until he was sat on his knee. Then he took the drink and clinked it off Jeff's glass, taking a deep gulp from it before he realised that there was a cocktail umbrella poking him in the face.
